A personal note, unrelated to our HIV research
This page is separate from the HIV research project described elsewhere on this site. It shares one individual's personal account of healing a diabetes-related foot ulcer, at home, for pennies, along with the photos they shared with us. Presented here, for transparency, as-is, and unrelated to the HIV research project.
⚠️ This is one individual's own account, photos included. We haven't independently verified it, but we're sharing it as it was told to us. This is not a clinical finding. Diabetes-related foot and leg ulcers can lead to severe complications, including amputation, if not appropriately managed.
The account
Healing diabetes-related leg and foot ulcers is notoriously difficult. The photos below, shared with us, show one person's ulcer, healed within six weeks, alongside a strict diet they said they followed during that time.
When the final photo was shared with us, the accompanying message read: "I am eternally grateful."
As above: this is an individual account, and not medical advice. Please consult a licensed healthcare professional for any diabetes-related wounds, or conditions.
